The American national pride borrows widely from the historical experiences that the citizens have had together right from the civil war to the current progress in the political, economic and social situation of the country. The benefit of this pride somehow supersedes the ugly side; here is how:

  • It instills a spirit of brotherhood among all citizens: One outstanding thing is the ability of the Americans to ignore their different races and religious backgrounds when they are celebrating victories or when faced by a disaster. Most times, they choose to ignore all the biases that can ruin the reputation of their beloved country.
  • It promotes hard work and dedication: It does not matter whether one is in the army or just an ordinary odd-job man, the commitment is the same all aimed at improving their standards of living and economy.
  • It comes with a sense of philanthropy: We can think of endless scenarios when the Americans have supported countries facing turmoil of any sought. The government itself has several funds meant for helping the third world countries.
  • It unites all people towards a common goal: No matter the strategy used, every American strives to make the country better and greater than it is.

There is so much to emulate from the American nationalistic pride; we have to learn a thing or two and make a difference.
